Newsroom: Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NONPROFIT ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS El Monte, CA - The Crystal C. Chavez Foundation is pleased to announce the 2009 Scholarship Winners for their inaugural scholarship program. High school seniors: Christina Ortiz of Mountain View High School and Francisco Arroyo of El Monte High School have been selected to receive our $500 scholarship award. The Crystal C. Chavez Foundation intends to offer their scholarship program every year for graduating seniors in the San Gabriel Valley and plans to increase scholarship award value with increased support and awareness of the organization.
About the Crystal C. Chavez Foundation: In 2008 Crystal established the Crystal C. Chavez Foundation, a 501c3 organization, as a way to give back to her community of the San Gabriel Valley. The Foundation’s mission is help more students from the area go to college or university. We fulfill our mission by providing financial scholarships to qualified seniors so that they may grow to be the leaders, trailblazers and professionals of the global economy.
